Who We Are
The Mona Shindy Foundation Inc is a registered charity and Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) dedicated to providing public benevolent relief to individuals experiencing disadvantage across Australia. Coordinated from Sydney, we focus on multicultural engagement, Indigenous community support, and youth leadership development.
Our organisation delivers high-impact programs that support culturally, linguistically, racially, and religiously diverse people with a strong focus on the Australian Muslim cohort.
By showcasing relatable role models and providing tangible resources, we work to inspire minority and traditionally marginalised groups to achieve success both professionally and personally.
Our Why
Culturally and religiously diverse communities remain under-recognised in mainstream narratives and under-represented in positions of influence and decision making. They frequently face systemic barriers and discrimination including Islamophobia. This lack of visibility reduces a sense of belonging and limits opportunities for young people to reach their full potential. We exist to directly close these gaps.

Empowering Next-Gen Leaders
We bridge the gap for students facing socio-economic barriers by providing a comprehensive support ecosystem. Through professional mentoring and inspiring storytelling, we connect students with relatable leaders who share lived experiences of resilience and success. To remove financial hurdles, we offer dedicated education grants, IT equipment, and scholarships, alongside subsidised student housing initiatives located close to university and TAFE campuses around Australia.
